AllMusic Review by

Billed on the cover as "Milan's hottest meeting and shopping spot," 10 Corso Como is by all accounts the place to see and be seen in Italy circa 2005. If Irma Cafe's three-disc 10 Corso Como: Love 3 collection is any indication, it's also a place to hear some pretty great music, much better than the pap American retailers like The Gap and Abercrombie & Fitch shove down consumers' throats. Divided into three sections -- "Body," "Heart," and "Spirit" -- Love 3 purports to reflect the shopping center's average play list, serving up an impressively eclectic and cosmopolitan sample of classic soul, jazz, tropicalia, and electronica from across the Western world. The emphasis here is clearly on mood and atmosphere -- none of the music is particularly aggressive or challenging, but think of it this way -- does anyone really want to hear Merzbow or Steve Reich while trying on new pants? Highlights include Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren," Wilson Pickett's "Hey Jude," Marvin Gaye's "Nature Boy," and Caetano Veloso's "Luna Rossa."
