1986
Recorded live in Paris in 1986, Last Exit are in rare form here, rocketing through tracks like "Discharge," "Pig Freedom" and "Zulu Butter." Everybody gets in some good licks, but pay special attention to bassist Bill Laswell and drummer Ronald Shannon Jackson, who play against each other creating a tense, brittle beat. When they lock into a groove it will take your breath away, as will the terrible beauty of Sonny Sharrock's brilliant guitar playing.
