Lady Blue

Composed by Leon Russell

Song Review by

Sort of a musical cousin to his other pop standard, "This Masquerade," "Lady Blue" is a tender and warm statement of commitment and romantic emotion. Told in his usual literate and direct lyric style, the song became a popular song to be sung at weddings, which in it's own way is the hallmark of a ballad such as this. The melody mirrors the lyrical stance perfectly, and the sweetness is undeniable.
