Quicksilver Messenger Service

Flute Song

Song Review by

One of the sweetest and most unusual Quicksilver tracks, "Flute Song" was one of the standouts on the Shady Grove album. A fine period piece of San Francisco psychedelia, it's a gentle, swaying piece that is a meditation on consciousness and love. Buttressed by some truly elegant piano work from Nicky Hopkins, it's also home to one of David Freiberg's finest vocals.
