Album Premiere: So Hideous, 'Laurestine'

​New York-based four-piece So Hideous blends metal, ambient and classical sounds on their second LP, Laurestine. A track like the pummeling opener "Yesteryear" can smoothly transition into the tense, melodic instrumental "Hereafter," and then back into the maelstrom for "Relinquish." It's a complete vision worth listening to in one sitting. The album is out October 16 on Prosthetic Records.
