Artist Biography by

I am 20 years old and I'm born and raised in Halmstad, Sweden. I have studied TV-production at college level and hopefully I will be continuing my studies this autumn in Gothenburg at high school. At the moment (May 1998) I am working for a magazine in Halmstad called entré, which writes about entertainment in the town. I am in charge of the record reviews in that mag. My biggest interest is music, but not to play it myself. I have listened to music since I was about seven years old and my first favourites were Erasure, Alphaville (German synthgroup) and Depeche Mode. As you may notice, I was quite heavily into synthsizer music at the stage, but when we got into the Nineties, I started listening to British guitarpop, such as Suede, Blur and Dodgy. Among my alltime favorite bands are The Beatles, The Smiths and REM. During 1997 I started making internet homepages about my favourite groups, and the first one was called There's A Place On The Web For Me And My Friends, which is actually the first and only homepage about The Smiths and Morrissey written in Swedish! After that I continued to make homepages for REM and my favorite TV-show, The Simpsons.

In November 1997 my brother and I got contacted by a Swedish publishing company called Premium Publishing to write a book for them about the Swedish Pop in the 90's. The book is going to be a follow-up to their successful book about the Swedish Pop in the 60's, called Stora Popboken. The book will list every group (and maybe also artist) that released one single or more during the nineties, complete with discography and biography. This is quite som ejob, so we have already started working on it, and it will hopefully be issued in late 2000/early 2001.
