This New Orleans trio released a pair of CDs in 2003 and 2005, respectively, proudly parading a combination of musical elements at once traditional and revolutionary. The rhythm section consists of washboard and sousaphone, which doesn't stop the Tin Men from playing either funk or Sun Ra covers. Guitarist and vocalist Alex McMurray also contributes original material, much of it about his drinking problems. A wide range of Tin Pan Alley classics from writers such as Fats Waller and Irving Berlin is also part of the band's intriguing set list.
