Easily mistaken has two people, the trip-hop electronic sound of the Plastic Avengers is actually from the single mind of George T. Hailing. The Edinburgh DJ and producer was inspired by the Chicago sounds of DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, and Gene Farris. In his hometown, he has long looked over his club night, Tribal Function, who has welcomed the talents of the Stickmen, David Alvarado, and Angel Morales, to name a few. His respect in Edinburgh lead to international gigs and him recording for the labels Stickmen and Acquarius. He has released three EPs on the NRK label, which was followed by 42 Minutes of Plastic, a collection of works from the EPs. He has remixed for DJ Sneak's label, Glasgow Undergound, and Monkey Fruit, and used the Shutterbug alias for Quality Control Records. In 2000, he made a Detroit connection by working with Out of the Box's Boomer Reynolds on several remixes. The same year his first full-length, Remix Grafitti, surfaced on the Import label.
