Johnny Andriani, a native of upstate New York, moved to NYC to join a band. After time playing drums, Andriani began to write his own songs, stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist. He made a deal with a management company, recorded a demo cassette and signed with EMI, recruiting guitarist Josh Roy Brown, bassist Rick Amado and drummer Rob Ferraro. With help from production legend Tony Visconti, Whatever Makes You Happy was released in 1995.
