Shawn Elliot was a singer who re-introduced the song "Shame And Scandal In The Family"--originally popularized by Sir Lancelot in the late 1930's--during the early 1960's. Elliot's Roulette recording charted in Europe, although it was English comic actor Lance Percival's version of the same song that charted in America. Curiously, Peter Tosh and the Wailers, as well as the Blues Busters, copied Elliot's arrangement in preparing their own respective covers of the song. None of Elliot's subsequent singles were successful.
