Greek guitarist Nikos Papakostas has a number of different irons in the fire. He runs his own independent label, Pan Records, and sits on the board of directors of the Federation of International Producers and Independent Labels (FIPI). He has put together eight full-length albums, among them Feugoun oi Ores, or As Time Passes By, and Para Thin Alos, or On the Seaside. He also writes songs, and his works have been recorded by numerous Greek artists, among them Vangelis Konitopoulous, Yiota Lydia, Eleni Vitali, Haris Alexiou, and Mihalis Dimitriadis, among others. In addition, he composes for theater productions and movies. Papakostas spent his formative years in Athens. He attended the University of Thessalonika and graduated with a law degree.
