DJ/remixer/producer Michael Nehrig (born in 1970), better known as Kosmonova, emerged in 1996 as part of the evolution of the German techno and hardcore scene of the early '90s with an acid house/techno-inflected single called Raumpatrouille (Space Patrol). A year later, Olaf Dieckmann co-produced his second hit titled Take Me Away, followed by Ayla and Fiocco's Celebrate. In 1998, Kosmonova recorded "Singin' in My Mind," along with ex-Culture Beat Tania Evans, bringing forth his debut album called Supernova. DJ Mike Brings joined him to produce Acid Folk 2000.
