This exciting and exquisite tenor from the Midwestern U.S. obtained his formal training at Westmar College in Le Mars, IA, from which he earned his bachelor's degree in music education. In 1987, Baum added his talents to the Chanticleer ensemble. Baum has interpreted numerous operatic roles, including Damon in Handel's Acis and Galatea, Thrysis in Gagliano's La Daphne, and the Madwoman in Chanticleer's 1994 and 1997 productions of Benjamin Britten's Curlew River. Baum has also appeared as a soloist with the Minnesota Chorale and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and in recital with members of the Minnesota Orchestra.
