Juicy formed in the summer of 1993 when guitaris/vocalist Kendall Jane Meade, bassist Jennifer Levin, drummer Meggean Ward, and guitarist/vocalist Lisa Marafioti formed as an indie pop/rock band in Boston. The band soon relocated to New York. Marafioti left the band soon after the release of For The Ladies on Slow River Records in 1994. OliveJuicy was released on Slow River in 1996, and the band disbanded later that year. The band toured twice, playing shows in the Midwest and on the East Coast, sharing stages with many of the 1990's finest indie rock acts, including Semi Gloss, Scarce, Tuscadero, Chisel, and Helium. Their song "Sergio" appeared on Never Kept a Diary on Motorcoat Records compilation in 1997. Meade went on to perform under the moniker of Mascott.
