Setting poetic lyrics to light-jazz arrangements, Elisabeth Caumont has risen to the upper echelon of French jazz. Establishing herself as a vocalist for Jimmy Knowles, Michel LeGrand, Michel Petrucciani, Jacques Higelin, and jazz group Sixun, Caumont continues to attract acclaim with her own groups. While she led the Elisabeth Caumont Group, featuring pianist Benoit de Mesmay, guitarist Manuel Galvin, bassist Christophe Garreau, and drummer Stephane Huchard, in the late '80s, she currently performs with a trio featuring upright bassist Pierre Yves Sorin and guitarist Michel Perez. Caumont often collaborates, during concerts, with tap dancer Fabien Ruiz.
