Band discovered by C. L. Milburn and signed to his Sea Ell label out of Houston, Texas in the mid-1960's. Derby Hatville had a fairly diverse sound, mixing cheerful, Roulettes-like harmonies and fuzz-tone guitars on "You'll Forget Me," and doing an eerie but effective garage-band-type cover of the Yardbirds' "Turn Into Earth. Their later singles have more of a produced sound, with overdubbed instruments, and work in a pop-rock vein.
