Born in the small town of Belen, NM, the son of a dairy farmer, singer Damon Gray was instilled with a passion for country music by his father. At a very early age, Gray was singing for whomever would listen. In the mid-'80s, he headed for Nashville to make a name for himself in the music world. Signing with the independent Broken Bow Records, Gray issued his debut, Lookin for Trouble, in early 2000, receiving praise for his traditional country sound and earning comparisons to one of his influences, Merle Haggard.
