Artist Biography by

Beyond Reason was formed in 1992 by guitarist Greg Kidd and vocalist Steve Leighton. A short year later, the band recorded its debut album, A World of You, independently released under the Laughing Cat Records label. Other members of this pop/rock seasoned with blues group are Roland Krueger on drums, Steve Mead at the bass, and Tom Coolidge, who plays the guitar, flute, and keyboards, as well as does vocals. Leighton and Kidd write many of the tunes Beyond Reason performs on stage and on recordings, like the tracks on the album Stompin' the Blues. Along the way, the group has appeared as the opening act for influential artists like Lowen & Navarro and Savoy Brown.

Even though each of the guys have family and day jobs to keep the telephone on and food on the table, they still fit time in to appear at many fundraisers for deserving organizations such as the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition, The Peabody House, the Ryan White Foundation, and others.
