It seems as if The Mummies intentionally buy the crappiest equipment from any garage sale with the most duct tape holding it together. Not to say that this is a bad thing, on the contrary, the poor quality of all their recordings captures the loose authenticity of the band; as if they wrote a song five minutes prior to recording it in their garage on one 50 cent microphone. Following in this tradition, with the photo copied cover and cut and paste art work is the You Must Fight To Live on The Planet of The Apes EP. With the title track paying tribute to one of the greatest sci-fi series ever in that sloppy, Mummies lo-fi way, a Beatles cover of "I'm Down" and even a surf instrumental that requires the record to be flipped over in order for it to continue, it's a crime that this EP can now only be found in a collector's been three times the original price.
