AllMusic Review by

This collection features 20 British non-hit singles in girl group or female solo rock-pop singer styles, mostly from the mid-'60s (although the track dates creep up all the way to 1971). Even by the standards of this fairly narrow subgenre, it's kind of mediocre and forgettable. Peanut's "Thank Goodness for the Rain" and Barbara Kay's "Someone Has to Cry" have some good Brill Building/Spector touches, but the rest provokes little reaction one way or the other. The only remotely recognizable names are Dana Gillespie, Julie Grant (who had some small British hits), and Swedish actress Britt Ekland, billed simply as Britt on her 1965 single.
