Like many bands, the members of New York indie rock quartet the Subjects met in high school, but in this case, two of the bandmembers were teachers and two were students. Following a self-titled 2005 EP, WITH EASE & GRACE, PRECISION & CLEVERNESS is the Subjects' full-length debut album, a scrappy set of urgent, scratchy indie rock tunes with echoes of the Feelies and Pavement. Highlights include "The Hounds of War" and "Speaking Parts."
