This EP, clocking in at just over nine minutes, is a collaborative response to 9/11 by poet Eve Packer and free jazz alto saxophonist Noah Howard. Packer begins alone with spoken recollections of the horrible event, on a track titled "WTC 1." Oddly, after several minutes you hear a banal pop-jazz groove begin to insinuate itself, spoiling the mood. Packer continues her recitation over an equally unfortunate, synth-based rendition of "Amazing Grace." Finally you hear Howard's unadorned saxophone playing "Over the Rainbow," but only for one minute. On both the musical and memorial levels, the effort is unsatisfying.
