Very serious Moog fetishes are indulges on White Room, far more than on later Magic Pacer releases -- the album seems, at times, to be honing some of the project's sounds, experimenting with analog buzzes, pop melodies, and guitar constructions with varying effects. The result isn't as focused, appealing or well-crafted as follow-ups like Dig This, Dig That, but it's rather satisfying nonetheless -- various members of L.A.'s Poop Alley scene (That Dog's Anna Waronker and Petra Haden, Tom Grimley) chip in to create a pleasant pop experience.
