Based on the track listing, it would seem that White Lightning, which boasts 14 tracks mainly from now woefully scarce Musicor years, would be an essential collection. Unfortunately, this disc is marred by horrible sound and inferior re-recordings best exemplified by "A Good Year For the Roses," one of the many re-makes/alternate takes that sound like George is singing under water. A handful of the songs are indeed original versions but it's not enough to make up for the low points.
