Welcome to South Beach showcases the style of Hi-NRG/trance music so often associated with the hedonistic beach community. The album plays as a continuous DJ-style mix, featuring a total of 11 tracks, most of which clock over the five-minute mark. The emphasis here isn't on a particular DJ or spectacular mixing, and there aren't many recognized tracks or producers here. Instead, the emphasis is strictly on the music, which unfortunately tends to be about as generic as everything else about the album. To be frank, there really isn't anything special about this album besides its catchy target audience-baiting title -- Welcome to South Beach -- and the connotations that often are associated with the infamous Florida getaway.
