You wouldn't know it from the exterior, but music is as big a part of Nature's Balance: Waterfalls as the water itself. Over six ten-minute tracks the sounds of water -- rushing, trickling, and swirling -- are only the backdrop for stretches of moody ambient new age. The music is relaxing, never rising above a gentle hum. But for a collection called Nature's Balance: Waterfalls, there's precious little water involved. A better option for listeners is Stephen Halpern's Ocean Suite. Halpern's peaceful soundscapes are mixed more evenly with the water sounds for a truly relaxing sonic environment.
