AllMusic Review by

There's something so simplistic and naive about the Happy Accidents' approach to music that it ceases to be laughably amateurish and instead becomes laughably fun -- the songs on Want Out take three-chord punk conventions and apply them to pop and rock in their most basic forms, winding up with a refreshingly simple teenagers-in-a-garage sound. The problem, of course, is that the bands' songs are limp and unmemorable, and the album doesn't even come close to distinguishing itself in any artistically worthwhile ways -- but due to its naivete and simplicity, it does possess a certain obscurist charm.
