Wacky Westerns is a confusing collection that has little to do with the genre of its title, and everything to do with lackluster re-recordings of the hits it purports to contain. Don't be fooled. Larry Groce's "Hot Rod Lincoln" doesn't have anywhere near the horsepower of Commander Cody's original, and the included version of Billy Edd Wheeler's "Ode to the Little Brown Shack Out Back" is either faking its "live" sound with overdubs or is a terrible recording. Either way, Wacky Westerns doesn't offer much that can't be found in better shape elsewhere.
