This first outing by Youth Choir (later known simply as the Choir) is a nice effort. A few nice songs litter the album. "Wounds of a Young Heart," "Someone's Calling," and "A Million Years" are all great little pop tunes that rely much too heavily on a drum machine -- a shame, since Hindalong is a truly amazing drummer. On its own merit (with other songs, such a "Dreams" or the unfortunate "Why Are All the Children Crying") this release can be disappointing, but taken in the context of their later work, one can get a taste of the seeds that brought out their later successes, which can enhance the enjoyment of this record. Creative guitar work.
