Heroine is a hard-rocking pseudo-goth band with somewhat of a theatrical twist. Their lead singer, whose name is Thirteen, has a warbling voice that is almost as irritating as his name. But his voice is not nearly as bad as the songwriting. In fact, there is little that is not irritatingly bad about this album. The musicianship is adequate and the production is good; in fact, it sounds like someone put a lot of money into this project (Isaac Hayes even makes a guest appearance), but the production cannot cover the fact that Heroine stinks. No one will get hooked on this.
