From the cover: "If you thought that you would never be a grown-up... just listen to this beat." Uh, OK. At any rate, the second volume of Top '80s is an odd mix of pop and rock hits, most of which were released during the first half of the decade. If you come to this disc for the new wave singles -- Bananarama's "Cruel Summer," the Cure's "Boys Don't Cry," Joe Jackson's "Breaking Us in Two" -- you probably won't ever listen to the hard rock choices -- Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger," Rush's "Spirit of Radio," Asia's "Heat of the Moment." There are dozens of comps that pay full attention to each side of the divide; so, unless this looks perfect for you (which is unlikely), stick with those and stay away from this.
