It doesn't look as if the Subhumans spent much time on this EP, a mix of studio and live tracks. The live tunes are pretty much a complete waste of time. "I Don't Want to Die" speeds by leaving no impression other than that the backup vocals sound really awkward, though Dick Lukas' voice is more forceful than usual on these tunes. As for the studio tracks, the best tune here is not written by Lukas, but someone named Steve H. "Susan" is just Lukas' voice over piano with just a tad bit of guitar and bass. The song is affecting, even if the story, about how unfulfilling domestic life can be, is hackneyed. The only other worthwhile tune is "Work Rest Play Die," mostly notable because it has a catchy, Clash-like groove to it.
