The latest signing to Tony Morley's all-encompassing imprint comes from one Stephen Cracknell, a musical gun for hire who as appeared on records from sources as diverse as Grantby and David Holmes, in addition to touring as part of Badly Drawn Boy's band. Though weighing in at little over 20 minutes, Cracknell crams all he can into the seven tracks here with the aural territory of Gorodisch situated somewhere between folk and electronica. A place where acoustic guitars twinkle amongst creased beats and occasional flourishes of the sampler interrupt the muezzin-like cries of a barely discernable horn section.
