The title of the nine-track budget-line Three Decades of Country is a little misleading. The title promises a look at country's evolution, but instead it's just a hodgepodge of tracks from the '70s, '80s and '90s. Even if it's a little uneven, there's enough good songs here ("Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," "San Antonio Stroll, " "You're the First Time I've Thought About Leaving, " "When You Say Nothing at All") to make it of interest to casual listeners on a tight budget.
