AllMusic Review by

Vapourspace is one of two pseudonyms used by electronic musician and producer Mark Gage; as Vapourspace, he creates sweeping soundscapes of ambient techno and deep house, whereas he tends to keep things more dancefloor-oriented when recording as Cusp. Themes From Vapourspace is an apt title for his debut full-length, which is programmed as a continuous mix (it will register as a single 60-minute track on most CD players) and has something of the grandiose feel of film music. The music comes by its mystical flavor honestly -- judging from song titles like "Anaximander's Time Stick," "Paradox of Time Dilation," and "Gravitational Arch of 10," Gage has a fairly compelling interest in ancient philosophy and metaphysical speculation (and doesn't mind if you know it). But most of it, while pleasant and occasionally interesting, doesn't offer anything new or terribly exciting.
