The band's first release sans vocalist Rozz Williams, The Wind-Kissed Pictures in its original form was a seven-track EP showcasing the songwriting of guitarist Valor Kand, as well as his improving vocal abilities and the ethereal singing style of keyboardist Gitane Demone. The American version added the track "Lacrima Cristi," while an Italian reissue titled The Wind-Kissed Pictures (past & present) added three ghostly soundtrack-type instrumentals; still later, another Italian reissue subtitled (past present & future) appended both Italian and English versions of "Lacrima Cristi" to its predecessor. Cleopatra's 1999 reissue recovers only the original seven tracks. In whatever form, it's some of the finest post-Rozz Williams work Christian Death would produce.
