Even though this was supposed to be a new project for three-fourths of Screeching Weasel (including singer/songwriter Ben Weasel), there are hardly any distinctions between the Riverdales and their previous incarnation. The songs are a lot slower and a lot longer, and have structures so simple that a three-year-old could learn them in a day. In other words, this record is boring. There are some catchy standouts like "I Think About You During the Commercials" and "Back to You," but one is better off just buying any other Screeching Weasel record.
