Producer Owen Bradley is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in Nashville country music. This skimpy 10-song sampler, however, is not the best way to appreciate his legacy. Certainly some of the performances are pivotal classics (Brenda Lee's "I'm Sorry," Patsy Cline's "Crazy"), but it's so short that it's virtually over as soon as it starts. Also, a couple of the standards here (Kitty Wells' "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels," Red Foley's "Chattanoogie Shoe Shine Boy") are not the original versions, but remakes.
