Competent if silly Spanish-themed music from Bob Shad's Time Records, striking all the usual points: bull fights, Carmen, castanets, Mexican hat dance (OK, so they fudge on the country a bit). Bellini's arrangements don't vary from the usual trumpet-call opening, followed by castanets and Spanish guitar, then augmented by strings (compare this with Hugo Montenegro's much better Arriba! album, also on Time). Spanish kitsch for musicians who probably hadn't traveled much farther than L.A.'s Olivera Street.
