There's nothing wrong with redneck punk & roll as long as it's done well. The Hellacopters don't break this unwritten rule, nor do Nashville Pussy. Unfortunately, this split EP does. Black Love is as creative as the name of their band: two sloppy, drunken hick anthems that have one guitar solo too many. The Creeps' side is no better, as the fast-paced hardcore is unlistenable thanks to the shoddy production and an unfunny rip on indie rock -- noted on the song "Indie Rock?" Another unwritten rule that the Creeps broke is that if you're going to tell a joke, it at least has to be funny.
