Neil Young and Crazy Horse returned to Complex Studios in Los Angeles, where they had recorded Sleeps With Angels, for the night of Oct. 3-4, 1994, and director Jonathan Demme filmed them performing four songs from the album. This 30-minute video contains "My Heart," "Prime Of Life," "Change Your Mind," and "Piece Of Crap." Demme uses subtle visual effects for each song. "My Heart," for example, is one continuous shot of Young singing, the camera panning down to his piano occasionally. In the 15-minute "Change Your Mind," with its lengthy instrumental passages, Demme varies the lighting from near darkness to excessive brightness "Piece Of Crap" features lots of hand-held camera work to emphasize the song's rock energy. None of this is typical MTV style, of course, but it does give the group's performances a distinct visual style that does not distract from the songs.
