AllMusic Review by

The Byrds' 1965 recording of "Mr. Tambourine Man," which hit the top of the pop charts by the middle of that year, was many people's introduction to the singular and peculiar songwriting genius of Bob Dylan, as well as the debut of a classic American band. Covering Dylan material was to be a constant throughout the group's many stylistic and personnel changes, and this succinct set includes key versions of "My Back Pages," "Chimes of Freedom," and "Nothing Was Delivered," among others, that remain classics in the wide world of Dylan song covers.
