This fourth entry chronicling the weird and wonderful in rock & roll oddities continues the take-no-prisoners stance of the other three volumes. With inserts from the Vox Easy Guitar Instruction Record sprinkled liberally between cuts, this 18-track collection focuses most of its cuts on the simian and jungle aspects of rock & roll. Bookending the selections with the Rockets Combo's Bo Diddley-inspired "Topless A Go Go" and Rolls Royce and the Wheels' "Topless," the monkeyshine highlights include Mike Lawing's "Chimpanzee Ride," the Ape Quartet's "Tarzan," the Cavemen's "Bowling Alley Oop," the Spinners' "Surfin' Monkey" and Tom Reeves' goofy "Primitive Love." Other noteworthy selections of musical stupidity include the Crewnecks' "Rockin' Zombie," the Pleasant Valley Tune Jammers' "Ugly" and the Playboys' "Mope De Mope."
