Why anyone would want new recordings of classic anthems is a bit bewildering, especially when the originals are so easily accessible at a reasonably affordable price. However, if you are looking for new recordings of the group, then this should satisfy you wholly. Obviously missing are the passionately strained but emotionally deep vocals of David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks that made so many of these gems so memorable, and it's a major factor that makes these new recordings sound like a tired dinner-theater revue when compared to the originals. It's good for what it is, and the songs are still just as memorable and important as they were decades ago, but just "good" for the Temptations is "outstanding" for other groups, and this fails to live up to the legacy they set for themselves.
