AllMusic Review by

This recording is a combination of two CDs that feature contemporary bands re-creating music of Duke Ellington, swing or big-band standards, and a few jump/jive tunes. Because there are only general credits with no specifics, one has to assume that Little Eddie & the Alleycats are doing the jump tunes, while the Kenny Heath and Larry Fuller big bands are tackling the vintage jazz. Barbara Russell's vocal numbers are easily identified, but who is playing behind her? The music is not bad at all, perhaps a bit cheesy, but the graphics approach and lack of information smack of old K-Tel-type packaging.
