AllMusic Review by

A variety of jazz singers are represented on this fine collection including Lee Wiley, Louis Armstrong (the original version of "Mack the Knife"), Billie Holiday, Jimmy Rushing, Sarah Vaughan ("Mean to Me" with a small group that co-stars Miles Davis), Hot Lips Page, Dolores Hawkins, Joe Williams, Betty Roche (a classic version of "Take the 'A' Train" with Duke Ellington), Babs Gonzalez, Betty Carter, Lambert, Hendricks and Ross and surprisingly enough Johnny Mathis on a jazz-oriented version of "Easy to Love." It's a good well-rounded set.
