Hard, fast, heavy, and dark, Jarra's brand of metal is a bit on the generic side. However, Kathie Jarra's voice calls to mind Doro just a bit, and that is definitely a good thing. In fact, her vocal performance and the group's apparent allegiance to Christianity are two things that tend to set them apart from the rest of the pack. The cut "Always, All Ways," which is dedicated to Stevie Ray Vaughn, is a nice change of pace in its mellow balladic style. The final cut on the disc, "Arizona" is a bluesy acoustic guitar solo, and as such another number that is quite different from the bulk of the release.
