Looking to push the genre to its limits, thrash revivalists Lost Society do just that on their sophomore effort, Terror Hungry. Like their forefathers, the band's weapon of choice is chugging riffs and relentless drive, but where bands like Metallica stretched out their songs to create epic endurance tests, Lost Society go for the throat with pacing and intensity. With the band marauding through track after track at maximum speed, it's almost easy to overlook the razor-sharp precision of their playing, which is sometimes overshadowed by the rowdy party vibe the band exude, but for listeners looking for a new take on classic thrash, Lost Society have stepped up their game to deliver some old-school guitar heroics.
