AllMusic Review by

Along with producer Ben Wisch, Williams has made one of the more beautiful singer/songwriter albums in recent memory. Her fragile voice is still reminiscent of Lori Carson, but her approach to her own material is all her own. While Carson's seems permanently shattered, Williams gives her lyrics an intimate positive sound. Songs such as "The Answer Man," "Show Me How to Catch a Fish," and "Nothing but the Wind" are lovely miniatures that let us into her world, populated by remarkable ordinary people if only we would see them. The arrangements are understated, fresh and always leave room for William's voice. This is a sophisticated album that shows real growth.
