AllMusic Review by

This obscure album, the work of Swedish clarinetist Paul Hindberg and his quintet, is a pleasing body of music, if not that exceptional. Obviously relieved to be out of the dance band where he had previously worked, Hindberg clearly relishes the chance for more subtle expression in this setting -- he, vibraphonist Kurt Weil, and bassist Lars Pettersson all get some pleasing solos in, and their renditions, even of such chestnuts as "Taking a Chance on Love," are worth hearing.
